What voice AI means here
Voice AI for a restaurant is an assistant that answers the phone and talks to the caller in plain speech. It is not a menu of options to press. The caller says what they want and the assistant replies.
Tableline calls its assistant Novi. This page sets out what Novi does on a call and where it stops.
What it does
It answers when the phone rings, takes a table booking and writes it into the same floor plan and diary your team uses. It can move or cancel a booking, and it answers simple questions from the information you give it, such as opening hours.
It tells callers it is an AI if they ask.
What it does not do
It does not pretend to be a person, and it does not make up an answer. Complaints, special requests and anything outside normal bookings go to your team.
It only knows what you set up with us. A new policy or a private event is something you need to tell us about.
What happens when it cannot help
Novi passes the call to someone on your team and says what is happening. You choose which kinds of call always come to you. Read more in our note on what a good phone handover looks like.
What it costs
Plans are monthly in US dollars: $249 for 200 calls, $399 for 300 calls or $499 for 500 calls, plus a one-off $250 set-up fee. See the pricing page for what every plan includes.
