What to compare
Four things matter most. Is the price published? What does the agent do on a call, for example bookings, orders or questions? What happens when it cannot help? And how do you start?
This page compares what four other providers say on their own websites with what Tableline offers. Everything about the other providers comes from their own pages, read on 17 October 2026. Prices and features change, so check each link before you decide.
The options in one table
Only what each company states publicly is shown. Where a price is not on the site, the table says so.
| Provider | What it offers (their words) | Stated pricing | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slang AI | Voice AI phone answering for restaurants, with integrations it lists including OpenTable, Resy, SevenRooms and Yelp. Its site lists 97 languages and 20 voices on the Premium tier; Core and Premium list English and Spanish. | Core from $399 (USD) per location a month; Premium from $599 per location; Enterprise custom. | slang.ai/pricing |
| Loman | AI phone answering for restaurants: pickup and delivery orders, reservations, menu questions, and POS integrations it lists, such as Toast, Square, Clover and SpotOn. | Not published. Starter, Premium and Enterprise tiers are shown without amounts; the site says "No per minute fees." | loman.ai/pricing |
| Hostie | A virtual concierge that answers restaurant calls, texts and emails, and also Instagram and Google Maps messages. | Not published. Four plans are named (Essential, Premium, Hospitality Plus and Enterprise) without amounts. | hostie.ai/pricing |
| Bite Buddy | AI phone system for orders, reservations and questions across phone, SMS and web chat. | $1.50 per completed order (list rate), pay as you go or prepaid bundles. | bitebuddy.ai |

Checked on 17 October 2026
The competitor details above were read from each company's own public pages on 17 October 2026. They are the companies' statements, not our tests. Each company also publishes results from its customers. We have not checked them and do not repeat them here.
How to start differs too. Slang offers a demo and a "Try Slang AI" button, Loman a demo and a call from its agent, Hostie a free trial and a demo, and Bite Buddy a contact by email or phone. Companies also state how long set-up takes, and some of their own pages give different figures, so ask each one directly. Tableline has a live Talk to Novi demo on this site.
Questions to put to each vendor
Is the price on your website? What is the set-up cost? Is the price per location, per order, per call or per minute? What happens when I go over my limit?
What does the agent do when it cannot help? Who on my team gets the call, and what do they see? Which booking or POS system does it work with today, not on a roadmap? Can I hear a demo before I sign?
Where Tableline fits, and what it does not do yet
Tableline suits a restaurant that mainly wants calls answered and tables booked into a diary and floor plan, with a clear monthly price. At the call limit, Novi hands new calls to your team, and there is no charge per extra call.
We do not claim point-of-sale integrations, a language count or customer results on this site. If you need a specific integration, ask us and we will tell you plainly whether it exists. See our pricing page, the guide to AI receptionist pricing, and the AI or human answering service comparison.
